What actually is a Chartered Accountant Articleship?


Chartered Accountant Articleship is a practical training program following an academic degree and a requirement to become a Chartered Accountant at the ICAB. Articled students have to engage in a certified Chartered Accountants Firm.


The connected degree student has undergone intensive training within the field of accountancy, having been attached to an active member of the International Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ICAB) and is permitted to train accoutred students. There are 163 chartered accountancy firms in Dhaka and Chittagong. You can easily register yourself at a firm that specializes in this.


No training in the field of accountancy is needed for an academic degree holder to perform any of the functions listed above. Due to the fundamental difference between an education degree and a Chartered Accountant, the academic degree holder has plenty of possibilities in the job market.


Anyone with a Chartered Accountant articleship can meet the requirements for being a practicing accountant, but an ordinary degree holder does not have the ability to practice as a practicing accountant without being a Chartered Accountant certified. While a Chartered Accountant can work independently, a professional accountant can also earn opportunities for other people.


Eligibility Criteria of Chartered Accountant Articleship

To be eligible for Chartered Accountant articleship, learners must have passed both the CA Intermediate and orientation & ITT programs' examinations.


Students must satisfy the Chartered Accountant articleship eligibility criteria before they can submit an application for admission. There is a difference between the requirements for CA Foundation Route and Direct Entry Route students.


By the present structure of our educational program, a student in California Foundation Route must satisfy these prerequisites to be in a position to get started his her articleship:


  • Must have either completed both the CA Intermediate Examinations or the CA Advanced Exams.

  • The four-week Integrated Course in Information Technology and Soft Skills (ICITSS) has been successfully completed.


Direct Entry Route: However, Direct Route candidates can begin the training program after fulfilling the following two criteria:


  • For commerce stream graduates and post-graduates who have received a minimum of 55% marks or higher in stream courses or students who have received a minimum of 60% in stream courses can enroll in the practical engineering course after getting registered for the CA Intermediate Course.

  • Candidates must have successfully completed the four-week Integrated Course on Information Technology and Soft Skills (ICITSS).

Chartered Accountant Articleship Stipend


Some states provide chartered accountant articleship  stipends as part of their County Compensation for Jurisdiction employees. The amount of the stipend provided by NCI differs based on the population of cities where CIs work. The table below lists NCI's stipend rates for $ 5 per every 100 million inhabitants.


Students receive a stipend of up to around INR 6,000 to INR 20,500 per month.
